For the dozen or so dedicated readers of this blog this post is just to let you know that I’m in Italy and have a fresh set of photographs of the old lady in the wheelchair at the children’s market.
I’ll post them in a few weeks when on home.
The decline in her (fragile) vitality is shocking and moving. She is held upright in her chair by a string strung across her and wrapped around one wrist.
She’s holding onto life by her fingertips.
The running is back to the early morning sweat festival in the Italian hills, sore knees & too much beer & feeling worthless. Still, this years first run was nearly as good as last years last run.
