The daily grind

It would be fair to say that 90% or more of our adult lives is made up of the daily grind of just completing tasks like a monkey in a cage so at the end of the day the reward chute clicks open and you collect your reward.

The reward (depending on the place you are) is somewhere between just surviving to lay your head on the pillow and the childhood excitement of knowing you have a big adventure the next day. Sandwiched in between these extremes are the rewards of a glass of wine, a hug, a warm fire and the other small treats that make up our lives.

This is my 5 year old son doing his shopping on holidays last year.
